Environmental Impact Study of the design of the Wind Farm Guardão

The Environmental Impact Study aims the good environmental framing of the Guardão wind farm project, located in Sierra Caramulo. The Guardão wind farm will consist of 21 wind turbines.
• The EIA followed the development phase of the Preliminary Study. All the necessary environmental support to the tenderer in the development of the project was given warning of potentially critical aspects and constraints to consider, especially for wind turbines, the lines of sight of the geodesic marks, or other.
• Accordingly the EIA addressed the following environmental factors: climate, geology and geomorphology, surface water resources, groundwater resources, flora and fauna, current land use, land use, soils and land use capability, sound environment, socioeconomics, landscape and heritage.
