Lisbon French High School – Improvement and adaptation to Accessibility Standards

Lisboa, Portugal

Licêu Francês de Lisboa

Multidisciplinary Project, including Architecture, Structures, Exterior Drainage, Heating, Fire Safety and Management of the Tender and Works. The architectural intervention focused on the adaptation of the French High School to accessibility standards, equipping the space with the necessary elements to fulfill that assumption, namely a lift for the main school building and the insertion of ramps in the several public and private spaces. At the same time, all the existing infrastructures were adopted so as to ensure greater comfort in the various spaces. The structural intervention focused mainly on execution of a freestanding reinforced concrete hoistway, about 20m tall, laying on a foundation slab and connected to the existing structure by steel frame landings.

• Final Design and Coordination of the following projects: Architecture, Structures and specialties (Exterior Drainage, Heating and Fire Safety).
